The Language of Net Advertising

Like a bunch of eager bunnies, Internet advertising has split, combined, and multiplied into a bewildering array of approaches to advertising on the Web. Using abbreviations such as CPM, CPC, CPA, CPT, and CPS make the novice Net advertiser’s eyes glaze over when he sees this alphabet soup of Net advertising jargon. If this is you, don’t feel bad. You’re not alone. Continue Reading »

Banner Ads and Ad Networks Aid Online Website

The first advertising tool to consider in promoting your Web store is the banner ad. A banner ad is like a small billboard that resides on a Web page. The standard full-size banner ad is 250×80 pixels. But even though almost every ad-supported site sells the full-size banner ad, Continue Reading »

How do you run business? Is it difficult? part 2

Perhaps one of the best examples of caring for employees is Raymond Ackerman, who credits part of his success to his good relationship with them. He has always attempted to pay the highest wages and provide the best working conditions in the retail business. He celebrated his sixtieth birthday by sending cake to every one of Pick ‘n Pay’s 27 000 employees!

Keep out the red tape where possible - high achievers are intensely demotivated by it. If you nit-pick about unimportant aspects like taking leave you are on a losing wicket. Continue Reading »

You have a brilliant idea and a huge market. You have started your business. Now how do you keep the show on the road?

It is not difficult to run a business. There are only a few very easy and basic rules to follow. A common mistake is to become overwhelmed by details in the beginning, preventing you from really getting off the ground. Remember, you can learn as you go along.

One of the most important reasons why people highlight the details is on business must appear “complete” and thus give as much information as possible. However, a large percentage of the information is not important in the early stages - often for the first few years. Continue Reading »

Persuasive Business Investment, the Return is Greater than the Cost continued

Master your Product

There is no doubt that great persuaders know their product, service, or business. I have found that great persuaders use their own product or service. Through this use, they have experienced what their audience will experience. You must know every possible thing about your industry. Nothing is going to surprise a great per- suader. They are up to speed on the economy, the industry, the company, and the competition. Continue Reading »

Persuasive Business Investment, the Return is Greater than the Cost

With all of this talk about the importance of implementing a personal development program, you might say, how is this possible? How do these people have time or resources for reading books and listening to CDs? How am I going to afford a three-day intensive workshop, or scarier yet, long-term one-on-one coaching? And if this kind of training has such an impact, not only on the individual but also on the companies they represent, why don’t employers make this training easier to pursue? Continue Reading »

Money and Paying Knowledge: get some Journal and begin to Invest

As the saying goes, ignorance and arrogance go hand in hand. If we’re not working on ourselves, we don’t realize the wealth of knowledge out there waiting for us. We are living in the information age, and if you don’t spend time learning, keeping up with technology, and increasing your knowledge base, you will fall so far behind that it will be extremely difficult to catch up. Knowledge is the key to success in today’s world. Studies consistently demonstrate that those who are learning and growing every day are more successful and optimistic about life. Continue Reading »
