Week four
1 Take time to reflect But do not spend too much time. While it is important to strategise, it is more important to get out there and do things. In fact, it is better to learn from your mistakes than to sit around in an ivory tower planning, planning, planning and achieving nothing.
2 Consider who else you could interest in this business venture Networking is really a form of partnering. A person who is in your downline is only under you in the sense that you benefit from the sales she makes. You are all part of a team helping each other. Think of someone you know who might be interested in joining you. Speak to her. If she says ‘No’, get leads. In fact, you should ask for a lead every time you sell to anyone. Don’t make a nuisance of yourself! Reward the individual with a gift if the lead pays off.
3 Sponsor a distributor This is the key to network marketing. You must keep at it. Sponsoring is the life-blood of the business.
4 Make a list of all the benefits of networking These will come in useful when you talk to prospects about network marketing. It will also help you to get to know the business better.
5 Hold a meeting in your home Take a look at the List of things to do on page 129. Getting new people to attend your house meetings is vital. Tell your distributors to invite their friends along for a look-see. And invite your own friends along, too. Be the pathfinder and show the way.
6 Visit a successful networker for a business chat Net- workers will willingly help each other. It’s that kind of business. See what she does. Maybe there is something you can pick up which will improve the way you run your business. It might be the way a notice board in the home office is displayed. But no matter what it is, any improvement is an improvement.
7 Invite your best distributor and her partner to dinner Why not? Show the downliner you appreciate her efforts.
8 Get a cassette tape on motivation that you can play in your car Let drive-time be a learning and motivational experience to fire you up. What’s more, you’ll remember that which is memorable to you. It might just be a sentence, a phrase or a thought, but it all comes in handy.
9 Check that you have your company’s products in your home Make this a weekly habit.
10 Review what you have achieved to date The first month is past. Make a SWOT analysis. What are your Strengths and Weaknesses? What are the Opportunities and Threats? Speak to your sponsor and ask her to make suggestions on how you can improve.
Congratulations! You have reached the end of four great weeks; weeks that will change your lifestyle forever! Now, sit down and map out another four weeks and do it all over again and again and again…
